Best "Sampler" Ever Purchased
The title kind of says it all, but for real, I'd recommend this box for a couple of reasons. You get to sample a large portion of the variety Flatbed has to offer and it's not just one or two, but four of each of these fine specimens. To me that's an extra bonus since it gives me four shots at each stick to help determine my future purchases. Plus, I often find that I may start out liking a particular smoke when I first break the seal on the box, but by the time I get down to the last quarter of the box, I start to change my mind. Especially when I don't have anything else to smoke, I get a little "burned out". I like to have at least two, preferably three options when I go to my humidor for my next selection.
"The more, the merrier", they say and with this box, you've got seven alternatives from which to choose. And, though I strongly doubt will happen, if you don't care for one or two of the options, you can always save those guys that always want to "borrow a cigar", while the privilege of choice is reserved for you and your friends.
I've smoked at least two of every individual offering from my box and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed all of them. I'm not much for discerning the nuances that give each smoke it's je ne sais quoi that calls me back, rather I find most often I either like the stick or I don't. The KISS principle applied to cigars, if you will. Besides, when someone builds up my expectations by mentioning the caramel, black cherry, coffee, or whatever taste and I don't get the most remote notion for how they got that. It can be disappointing, to say the least.
Try them all and form your own opinion however simple or complex it may be. Maybe even use the pairing guide on the inside of the box lid for best results. Sure, you'll like some better than others, but if "variety is the spice of life", isn't that the point?
