Ronson has been around for decades. The lighter of choice by many farmers I grew up around. It was the exception to find one of these guys without a lighter and jack knife in their pocket. Seems there was always something to cut, and something to burn. Zippo was a common brand too, but every country store could afford to stock the Ronson line.
This is an updated model using butane as fuel. It has an adjustable height flame, loaded hinge flip top, and of course...is refillable. It is a bit slimmer, and more narrow than the traditional Zippo, but the same height. For the money, a great lighter. Why pay more...chances are you will loan it to a buddy who "forgets" to give it back. And, if you are my age...you'll forget who you gave it too!
We buy these bulk, stamp with a acid ink, and clear coat over the top. Yes, it will eventually scratch up....and look even better.
